Oh shit.

So this is what happens when you ignore Buzznet emails...log on after 8 months..and get flooded with comments, notes and friend requests.

I should just delete my Buzznet account, or redirect my Tumblr updates to here too. Funky.

It's true. There's a Baby Way coming.

"Breaking news… Mindless Self Indulgence announced by MySpace bulletin this morning that their bassist, Lyn-Z, is pregnant. Why is this exciting to anyone except me and a bunch of other MSI fans? Well Lyn-Z is the wife of Gerard Way, the frontman of My Chemical Romance. Yup… we’re getting a Waylet in the late Spring (Northern Hemisphere). How completely awesome! Congrats to Gee and Lyn-Z."

Taken from: http://wherethewildthingsare14.wordpress.com/2008/11/25/our-chemical-baby-and-why-the-mighty-boosh-owes-smashing-pumpkins/

Well, I guess its official. No more rumours or anything. Gee Way and Lyn Z are expecting! I really didn't see this one coming though...especially when they're both so busy recording and performing etc. But congrats to them anyway! I can't wait ^^

Gerard Way and Lyn-Z

I wonder if Ray and his new lady are going to do the same? Haha!

2007 EVANESCENCE ALBUMS?

WHAT
THE
HELL
PEOPLE OF BUZZNET?

I was tidying up my Evanescence on iTunes tonight and was looking up their discography on le internet. This is where I stumbled upon some interesting and shocking information:
Evanescence relseased two albums last year, consisting of remixes and re-recordings of old tracks? HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS? I am not sure if these are legitimate, or if someone has just downloaded Audacity and gone a bit wild with the remixing, but I am leaning towards it being official. After all, there are some pretty old tracks on there and the album art looks pretty professional...

All I have to say is that I'm a little bummed that I only just found out. However, I am already on Amazon and I'm already planning on how to sweetalk my mother into getting them for me.
They are called "In The Shadows" and "Justice". Here are the track listings:

IN THE SHADOWS
01 - Away From Me
02 - Bleed
03 - Anything For You
04 - Forever You
05 - Before the Dawn
06 - Surrender
07 - It Was All a Lie
08 - Breath No More
09 - Exodus
10 - October
11 - Goodnite
12 - My Immortal Acoustic (Bonus Track)

JUSTICE
1.- Anything For You
2.- Before The Dawn (Demo)
3.- Breath No More
4.- Bring Me To Life (Demo)
5.- Everybody's Fool (demo)
6.- Goodnite
7.- Haunted (original)
8.- Heart Shaped Box (nirvana cover)
9.- Lies (Remixed)

AN EVANESCENCE MIRACLE

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! OH MY GOOOOOODNESS! This is like music to my ears (hopefully that statement will be literal soon!)
I was on ultimateguitar.com (Well, I wasn't. My boyfriend was and he showed me this - what a legend) and read an article titled - brace yourself - EVANESCENCE SINGER TALKS NEXT ALBUM!
Not even joking. Here is the article:

Evanescence singer Amy Lee, who is busy writing new material, recently talked with Spin.com about the group's messy split with guitarist John LeCompt and drummer Rocky Gray, writing a solo album, scoring films, and "Sally's Song", her contribution to "Nightmare Revisited", the new collection of covers from Tim Burton's 1993 film, "The Nightmare Before Christmas". A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.
On the split with LeCompt and Gray:

On the state of Evanescence:
"It's a difficult situation, as is every dramatic situation our band has gone through. John [LeCompt, guitar], Rocky [Gray, drums] -- we outgrew each other. When they joined the band, Fallen was just completed and they were excited to be a part of something really big. From the beginning, their musical styles were very different from Evanescence. I think to a degree they got bored or frustrated. They weren't part of the creative process and were like, 'Why are we doing this?' Their writing just didn't work for Evanescence, and I have to do what's best for the band. I've had a little bit of contact with John since and it was positive. Very few bands have been able to maintain their original members forever."

On new songs and a solo album:
"I need to show that I’m more than a one trick pony. I'm writing here at the house by myself and it's been really good. But I'd really like to do something different next. [The new songs] are definitely different. I feel like I'm going back to my really old roots. They have more of my folky and Celtic influence than ever before. And it's not all sad -- it's nothing I would categorize as Evanescence."

On scoring films:
"My biggest dream from the beginning -- besides Evanescence -- is scoring film and writing music for film. And I've definitely had that in my head and have been trying to connect with the right people to get involved with the right project. I really feel like it would be great to get into a project that's bigger than myself and be the creator and not necessarily just the performer."

On Nightmare Revisited:
"The Nightmare Before Christmas is my number one biggest influence artistically in every way. [When I was young] I literally would sit in my bedroom and sing 'Sally's Song,' or in the car driving to school. The best part about it [recording the song] was that I had no restrictions or direction or anything. I picked the producer, who's a friend, and we just made the song however we wanted together. [We recorded the song] three months ago, in Fort Worth, TX."

I'm really glad that Amy hasn't given up her career as a musician, and that she's trying new things like writing music for films and experimenting with different styles and genres. Although I would really like EV to just get back together and whip together another awesome album, I'm really happy that Amy is pursuing some of her personal goals. I'm really looking forward to hearing Amy's new material, and I will definately be on the lookout for any of her upcoming work!

EVANESCENCE UPDATE!

Hi Everyone!

Okay so last night I stayed up to watch The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, because Amy Lee was the musical guest, accompanied by Tim McCord of Evanescence. The episode was about two days late because I'm not in America but hey, at least I saw it!

Amy was amazing, and performed Sally's Song from the album Nightmare Revisted - a re-release of the soundtrack to the hit movie Nightmare Before Christmas. Get the album now if you have not already done so, it's wonderful.
Amy Lee's voice hasn't changed at all, and she's just as pretty as she always was ^^ Although, I don't know what the hair stylists and wardrobe people were doing...maybe Amy designed the outfit herself. Well, regardless of who dressed Amy Lee that night, I was not feeling the vibe of the whole outfit. Whatever was in her hair..a hairpiece of flower or whatever, was just weird.
But what's most important is the music. Amy played the piano and sang (AMAZINGLY), and then swivelled around and started playing the harp. I've never seen her play the harp before, but she did it very well. I couldn't play the harp if my life depended on it...

I will be posting a video of Amy's performance on buzznet so you can check it out there ^^

TC'08

Ahh, hello everyalls. It's been ages since I've hit Buzznet, but I'm cool now so it's all good. (In a bit of a gangsta mood...)

Well, tonight I sat down for two hours and watched the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. It was an alright show hosted by Miley Cyrus *gag*, and featured The Jonas Brothers (of course), Mariah Carey, Fergie, the ACDC dance crew, and heaps of other celebrities. I think the show was put together really well, and I was amused at Vanessa Hudgens' inability to speak properly XD
I was a little disappointed that Miley Cyrus' dance crew 'MNM WITH A Z' beat the ACDC dance crew in the dance off. Seriously, ACDC were so much better!

In other news, a lot of people have been telling me that Travis Barker, former drummer of the former band blink-182, is dead. Sources say that he died in a tragic plane crash, although I am pleased to say that this is not true. Travis was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, and is expected to have fully recovered in a years time. Unfortunately, Travis' personal assitant and security guard died in the crash. Look it up on Wikipedia if you're really that interested.

The new I Am Ghost album "Those We Leave Behind" came out in Australia today! I am so excited, the previews that I've heard are fantastic. Looking forward to buying it soon!

That's all I've got right now..><

Gabe Saporta = Modern Day Romeo?

Well, my mother made me stay home today because of a reaction I had to an injection from yesterday afternoon *frown* So I am home alone today, and I have been studying for a physics exam since about 8am up until...15 minutes ago (1pm). I have since decided to give my brain a rest..

I was watching Channel [V] the other day when Gabe Saporta and Ryland from Cobra Starship were being interviewed. Gabe looked kind of geeky with his checkered shirt, dark blue hoodie and massive nerd glasses, but he said some pretty funny things such as:
"When I was six my dad was explaining to me the like, male reproductive system and he was kind of shocked to hear that I knew how sex worked."
I laughed. What a Gabe thing to say.

From what I've read, there's a bit of confusion as to who Gabe Saporta is dating at the moment (why people care, I have no idea). There was a rumour going around about Gabe dating Victoria Asher, the keytarist of Cobra Starship. I find it really hard to believe that Gabe and Vicky-T were/are dating because I saw in a CS interview that Gabe was talking about missing his girlfriend while they were on tour. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if Vicky-T is the keytarist, then she'd be on tour too. St00pid.

A comment by someone called "Alicia" on this rather interesting website I am currently looking at made me laugh out loud:
"Yeah. Gabe and the keytarist aren`t going out. I went to the warped show and he said just a few nights before, she made out with one of their back-stage behind the scenes dudes, and that it totally broke his heart cause hes been trying get at her for a long time. He molests her a little bit when he preforms one of their songs, but thats it."

LOL.

A lot of people are saying that Gabe is dating a girl called Bianca Duenas and that they live together in NYC. This is a little easier to believe, and I think it's true. The New York Times wrote an article about the $739,000 loft that the couple bought together, claiming that Gabe was drawn to the 'high ceilings'.

I think they make a nice couple :) After all the criticism and gossip I've read on the net about Gabe's love life I think that we should just give him his privacy. I don't care if he's dating Bianca or Vicky-T - I'm just grateful he's not dating William Beckett from The Academy Is...
O_O

NIGHTMARE REVISTED!

OKAY! The moment I have been waiting for has FINALLY arrived. NIGHTMARE REVISTED HAS BEEN RELEASED! If you don't know what it is, it's basically a new version of the soundtrack to Nightmare Before Christmas with alternative tracks. It's so awesome.

My favourite track has to be Sally's Song by Amy Lee (I wonder why...) Seriously it's so beautiful. I was starting to die of lack of new Amy Lee songs, so this is my saviour. I've only heard the sample tracks...I must have the whole album NOW or I will DIE. FOR REAL.
The new soundtrack features artists such as Rise Against, Marilyn Manson (performing This Is Halloween, of course), All-American Rejects, Plain White Ts and Korn. I can't wait to get it...but the sample tracks will have to do. Here's the link if you want to listen to them too:

http://www.hyfntrak.com/nightmarerevisited/AFF60153/

I'm so excited. To hear Amy's voice singing something new is literally music to my ears. *content sigh*

Lies and Deceit.

Hello everyone, it's been ages since I've updated my journals O_O I recently got back from a school camp that lasted for five days consisting of a considerable amount of hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and abseiling. It was both mentally and physically challening - I have to admit that I'm glad to be home.

I haven't been up to much since I got back. Yesterday I got up early to get on the bus with Vanina (vaninais) in order to get to Brisbane and play the last hockey game of the season. After that I came home and lounged around waiting for my boyfriend to turn up. When he did we didn't really do much except watch TV, play truth or dare and look up the history of breastfeeding on Wikipedia (don't ask...)
I spent today with my mum, shopping. I went to a CD store to ask about Avenged Sevenfold's new album but the clerks were like "WTF?" So I bought "Avenged Sevenfold" (the album) and said I'd be back when the new new new one came out. I was informed that it came out last Friday - obviously not!
Vanina and I were talking about what we would do if we met A7X backstage at one of their concerts. We both said we'd hug Syn, Matt and The Rev, and maybe hi-five or hug Johnny Christ and Zacky XD As you might of noticed, Van and I aren't huge Zacky Vengeance fans...

At the moment I'm really into Tegan and Sara, which is really straying from my preferred genre/genres. I like their electro beats and almost monotone voices, with my favourite song being "Are You Ten Years Ago?" I am also obsessing over the violinist, Andre Rieu, at the moment. His cover of the Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet is so beautiful! I cry almost every time I hear it.

I really love Pete Wentz's shoes...especially his Ferris Bueller shoes. I saw on ahomeboyslife.com that he's got his hands on some pee-coloured supras too, they are epic.

supra photo week:im gonna put a pair of supras up once a week for the next few. because i think thee are the freshest shoes out there…. used to skate alot myself before i got the fear of the stairs. but these are the most insane shoes out there.supra shoe of the week:these are bright yellow the color of my urine because i dont drink enough water. dehydrated. enough to get the attention at a party and bring it back to your room.

He's kind of a freak and he's not that attractive but damn, those are some awesome shoes.

30 Seconds to Being Sued

So apparently, Jared and Shannon Leto of the band 30 Seconds To Mars are being sued by Virgin Records (America) for "failure to come through on a five-album deal.
The band was doing well, hitting a homerun with their self-titled debut, followed by A Beautiful Lie in 2005. But despite the success of the two albums (plus a few deluxe and limited edition versions of A Beautiful Life), the band were/are short of their album quota. A 30STM rep came to the media stating that the victims in the situation were really the guys of the band, who had apparently not been appropriately paid for their album success.

I think this whole thing is stupid. The guys should be given more time - I'm sure they've got lives outside of the band. Producing a successful album takes time, it's not just a matter of slapping a few tunes together with some catchy lyrics, unlike some bands (not pointing any fingers...*shifty eyes coughgoodcharlottecough*) have been doing lately.
Look at Simple Plan, it took them FOREVER to realease their latest album. And don't even get me started on how long it takes Evanescence to release albums (although when they do, all is right in the world!)

A fair bit has been happening in the music industry lately. I was on Pete Wentz's ( from Fall Out Boy) blog the other day (don't even ask me why), watching that retarded video he made with Miley Cyrus.
"I hate emo boys who call themselves emo!"
Well I hate you, Miley.
Honestly, I don't see much in Miley, or in Pete. But that's just my opinion. At least Pete has originality, and personality. He's not just some teenybopper Disney bi-product. Personally, I prefer Patrick Stump to Pete Wentz, because he has style and an awesome voice. He's also kinda weird...lol.

I'm over the whole Miley-Cyrus-Hannah-Montana thing. I hate her face, her accent, her voice - everything. And the stuff she has been doing lately really isn't that great for her tween fans. I mean sure, she's allowed to make mistakes just like other teenagers but seriously, she could try to keep it under control. That whole thing with Nick from the Jonas Brothers was a bad move - why would you make a bad end in a relationship public? I'm sure Nick was happy to know that his alleged ex has been the media about their 'secret' relationship.

Ehh whatever. I'll be surprised if we're still talking about her in 10 years...

SUPERIORITY = A7X

So last night I was chatting to my good friend, Vanina (vaninais), and she sent me a link to a rather interesting music video that I had never seen before. It was a link to Avenged Sevenfold's "A Little Piece of Heaven". An interesting title to go with the interesting lyrics.

I freaking love this video, and the song. The combination of evil laughter and symphonic cellos and violins is just amazing...and not to mention Matt Shadows' cool voice. Sometimes his voice is really scratchy and hoarse, other times it's really good. A Little Piece of Heaven is a great song, and the video is so perfect for it! It's hilarious when he kills her and then takes advantage of her corpse - necrophiliac XD And not to mention the hilarious lyrics that go with this part in the video:

She was never this good in bed
Even when she was sleepin'
Now she's just so perfect I've
Never been quite so fucking deep in
It goes on, and on, and on,

LOL. Gotta love those lyrics. And the animation. EAT IT, EAT IT, EAT IT. XD Seriously, whoever came up with the idea for this video is a genius.
I also watched the video for 'Seize The Day' and I have to say, it made me cry. Not because Matt Shadows is insanely gorgeous (which is strange coming from me, I HATE spacers, but he makes them work somehow), but because of the whole going to prison and his pregnant girlfriend dying and all that jazz...The lyrics are just so sad and his face is just torn in pain..I was literally sitting in front of my computer crying "POOR M. SHADOWS! ITS OKAY! YOUR FANS ARE HERE FOR YOU!" *dabs eyes with tissues*

I love Avenged Sevenfold. Their riffs are freaking epic, and they are all pretty good looking, except for Zacky...That guy is lucky he can play guitar. I used to hate A7X, probably because I had only really heard Critical Acclaim, which I dislike. But now, I have grown to love them.

Long live Avenged Sevenfold.

Feeling complex.

Okay, so today I FINALLY bought Breaking Dawn. I know, I know, it's going to suck, well until the end anyway. I've read the plot synopsis and the whole mutant vampire baby thing..but I won't say anymore in case you haven't read it. It's just one of those books you have to read, regardless of whether it sucks or not. Like Harry Potter. If you read one, you've gotta read the rest.

At the moment, I am loving The Horrors, Metro Station, and Taking Back Sunday. At the mall today they were playing Control, Shake it, and Kelsey by Metro Station EVERYWHERE! It was insane. I prefer Mason as opposed to Trace, and as for the other guys, you don't even really hear about them. I think Mason has a better voice, and isn't borderline gross and anorexic like Trace, but that's just my opinion. Death At The Chapel by The Horrors is currently my favourite song, it's so awesome. DOWNLOAD IT NAO.

This is The Horrors - how weird is their hair? It's a good, eccentric kind of weird.

I've been thinking a lot about hair. There have been heaps of hideous hair transitions made by our favourite rockers, but some just outdo the others on the scale of terrible-ness. Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars would have to be the biggest offender of terrible hair-do's.
The man has varied through black with red tips, braided and brown, bowl cut with facial hair, near crew cut and nice, conventional brown. Personally, I think the black with red tips is the best look for Jared Leto, and the nice, brown hair works too.

See? Isn't that nice. As opposed to this eye-ruining do:

It might have been for one of his movie roles, but that doesn't make it any more acceptable in society. Bill Kaultiz of Tokio Hotel is another man of transition hair. He went from spiky short with a side fringe to a Yu-Gi-Oh hedgehog do, which I think is better than his previous hairstyle. I think the hedgehog hair reflects Bill's unique and individual personality. It's different, I must say, but not to the point of WTF IS THAT THING ON HIS HEAD?

Ah well..I think I'm going to go and read some more. Lucinda (cindann) and I are going out with my mum tomorrow cos she needs a bit of cheering up and all, should be fun!

Liar.

Anyone else in love with the song Liar (It Takes One to Know One) by Taking Back Sunday? It's awesomeeee, but don't tell anybody. I told a certain someone that TBS aren't very good - even though I only like one of their songs. Still, he would laugh at me for ages if he found out.

I'm also loving Monsoon by Tokio Hotel (even though I don't really like to admit it), Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge (which was used in The Number 23 with Jim Carrey) and Friends and Alibis by Escape The Fate.
It's a shame what's happening/happened to Ronnie :( But I suppose he had it coming.

That makes me wonder - if Ronnie Radke was a movie star, what kind of movies would he be in? My friend Issy, (issywizz) thinks he'd be a porn star. Perhaps...although I think Ronnie would be more like an underground artsy film star. Or maybe in movies like Requiem for a Dream, with Jared Leto. I'm not saying that Ronnie should play the girl in that movie -.- I'm just saying that's the type of movie I can see Ronnie in. Disturbing, yet deep.
I think Bill and Tom Kaultiz could be in a foreign version of "Dude, Where's my car?", or a movie like that XD I can just see them doing it now, or some other movie where two guys get into some stupid situation.
Amy Lee would be in some really pretty, artsy film like Pan's Labyrinth. Or maybe a really tragic romance movie.

I can see Gerard Way in a war movie, or a horror movie. Probably because of all the MCR videos I've seen. But I think Gerard would be in a cool movie, one that I'd like. If I saw him in a movie I wouldn't care what kind it was XD I'd watch it anyway.

HAHAHA, Patrick Stump and Hayley Williams in Love Actually :|
That would be weird, especially with the British accents and all XD

HOT! Or Not?

So, at one point in every person's (most people anyway) life they have a celebrity crush, right? I've noticed that most people who have celebrity crushes - full on, where they completely believe that they're going to get married etc - are of the female gender.
Call them 'fangirls', if you wish. I've noticed a lot of fangirls who are obsessed with Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy (I dunno why...anyone seen Patrick lately? ^^) William Beckett of The Academy Is..., Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and even Hayley Williams of Paramore (yeah that one's a little creepy..mostly because of Hayley being a girl and all...)

Why do girls obsess over musicians? Is it their pure awesomeness? Their 'good looks'? What do girls see in some of these guys? William Beckett for example - what the hell? The guy has the weirdest hair, the weirdest voice and hello - he is like borderline anorexic. But surprisingly, there are a lot of William Beckett fangirls.

OH! Ryan Ross, and Brendon Urie. These guys have soooo many fangirls. I get why girls love Brendon, but Ryan? That confuses me. In my opinion he resembles a baby boy...and he has such a puny voice. He writes some good, yet weird, lyrics though.
I've also seen Mikey Way and Frank Iero fangirls, and Oli Sykes fangirls. I get it - Oli Sykes is hot, but he is a total asshole. From what I've heard he is anyway - for all I know he could be a really nice guy. I'm just saying - what I've heard isn't very nice.

Bill and Tom Kaulitz fangirls. *sigh* Okay, they're cute. I have to admit that. But going so far as to write fanfiction where you describe an intimate sex scene between you and either Bill or Tom - or heaven forbid, both - is just too much. You can love them, but there is a line.

To look up to and love a musician is a great thing, but please ladies, let's keep it PG13+.

RUMOUR HAS IT...

I HATE rumours about bands, and the musicians we love. I hear crazy rumours all the time, sometimes they're just so weird I stop and go "Wait..WTF?"

The most recent rumours I've heard have been about Escape The Fate's somewhat infamous Ronnie Radke. Rumour has it that he is back into drugs as a result of a troubled childhood. All I can say is: HAHAHAHAHA. Another rumour is that Ronnie was kicked out of the band prior to his little run in with law, and that he plans to start his own band? That one seems a little more into reality but who knows if its true or not. Funniest rumour by far though is that Ronnie raped and murdered someone. PUH-LEASE, what the HELL is with that one? Haha.

Of course, our beloved Gerard Way has had his fair shair of rumours as well. I've often heard that he suffers AIDS, has a daughter named Jadis, that he was engaged to someone named Eliza (?) and that he DIED in a CAR CRASH! All I can say is that these rumours are outrageous and completely hilarious. The most recent rumour I've heard is that the album that My Chemical Romance is recording next year will be there last. I hope to God that it's not true.

FUNNIEST RUMOUR EVER - Well the idea of it is funny anyway - IS THAT AMY LEE DIED LIKE A MONTH AGO IN A TERRIBLE CAR WRECK. Dude, seriously, whatever. I saw this in a Yahoo! comment, and fully exploded. What a STUPID thing to say, about anybody, particulary Amy Lee. If you have not yet noticed I basically worship Amy Lee. If she died, so would I.
She's not dead guys, she just went on a honeymoon. Mkay? Sweet.

I've also heard that Amy quit her christian rock band to become a full time youth minister. ROFL! WTF? What christian band, hey punk? What a stupid rumour. Another rumour is that Amy is secretely a Chinese porn star (how she would pull off the Chinese part, I have no idea) and that Evanescence broke up after their last tour and that Amy was so upset about it that she overdosed on drugs.
IF AMY LEE DIED, OR EV BROKE UP FOR REAL, I WOULD KNOW, OKAY? DON'T GO GIVING ME SHIT LIKE THAT.

There are also rumours about the German band, Tokio Hotel. Rumours has it that Bill is planning on getting a sex change (highly unlikely!) and that he injects insulin because he was seen with bruises on his arm. There are also rumours that Tom has a secret girlfriend, that he (and the other boys) are afraid of their fans, that he smokes and that Tokio Hotel don't play their instruments. What can I say except for RUMOURS ARE SO STUPID.

I wonder who made the rumour up about Paramore splitting a week ago, and I wonder who started the rumour about Hayley Williams being pregnant with Josh's child.

Rumours can be hilarious, and they can be offensive. There are just so many around, what's the deal with it? Why can't we just stick to reality instead of fabricating crap about other people?

Whatever, kid.

Should I be Panicking?

Well, on the 20th of August (or summat like that..I'm not too sure...) I will be seeing Panic At the Disco, The Academy Is...and Cobra Starship live. Good or bad?

Pretty. Odd. has gotten some pretty negative criticism, despite reaching #2 in the US. I don't think their new material is particularly bad, it's just different to what we're used to. I hear a lot of "They've totally copied The Beatles!" which I think is dumb. Panic has a new sound, and were you even around when The Beatles were cool? I think not. So shut up.

Anyway, apparently Panic put on rather interesting shows equipped with contortionists and victorian style circus dancers. I think it sounds pretty interesting. It should be good to see Panic flaunt their new stuff live, but I hope they play a lot of their stuff from AFYCSO too. Panic definately have a unique sound, and a unique look, so I'm looking forward to their show.

I'm also looking forward to seeing The Academy Is and Cobra Starship. FANGS UP!
I'm not a huge TAI fan...and I have NO idea why William Beckett cut his hair (although it was way too long for my liking). His voice is really melodic and kind of velvety...but physically, I think he looks like a tool. But the music is more important, so he can do what he likes with his attractive hips and weird hair.

I am definately looking forward to seeing Cobra Starship. I LOVE their music, it's so electric and alive. Kiss My Sass is definately a favourite of mine, I will be rocking out if they play that. And I WILL be doing the official dance during Guilty Pleasures. Every time I think about CS I think about how much I want the purple Gabe Saporta hoodie...

Ah well.

Accept this.

Dude, when the hell did Acceptance break up? I only just found out and I am DEVASTED.

DEVASTATED.

I was really starting to get into their music too. Gah, this is horrible. First Evanescence say they're on a temporary breakup and then I found out Acceptanced have called it quits.
What's next? My Chemical Romance breaking up because Mikey died by electric shock via toaster, or by gunshot in a bloody battle?

Gah. Gah. Gah.

Down in front!

I am just full of random thoughts and questions today...
Anyway, I was just staring at one of my many Fall Out Boy wall posters and...what's the deal with Pete being the frontman?

You would expect Patrick to be the frontman, being the lead singer and all. But there you go, Pete gets all the light and is at the front of every band photo lineup. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just odd. Is it because Pete is supposedly 'hotter' than the other guys? Hm...maybe the other guys don't want to have to deal with the stress of being a frontman.

This happens with a lot of bands though. Take Evanescence, for example. Most of their merch revolves around Amy Lee, but as beautiful as she is, I feel like yelling out: "HELLO! THEY ARE A BAND YOU KNOW, THERE ARE OTHER MEMBERS!" I hate it when I see Amy Lee posters that are titled "Evanescence". That's not Evanescence, douchebags, that's Amy Lee.
The same sort of thing happens with HIM's lead singer Ville Valo. I see their merch EVERYWHERE, but it's just all of Ville, or the Heartagram (and most people aren't even aware of what the Heartagram symbolises). Don't get me wrong, Ville is the lead singer and songwriter etc and deserves the spotlight, but HELLO, there are FOUR OTHER MEMBERS!

Aaaand of course, it happens with Marilyn Manson. Most people are unaware that Marilyn Manson is the name of Brian Hugh Warner's (who's stage name is Marilyn Manson) band. They were originally called Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, but dropped the last part. Most of their merch is just of Marilyn, like I said with Evanescence and HIM merch. When you see band posters of Marilyn Manson, where the other members are featured, people are like WHO THE HELL ARE THOSE OTHER GUYS?
I'll tell you who those other guys are, THEY'RE THE REST OF THE BAND.

*grumbles* *sigh*
I don't have a problem with it, really. I'm just saying that sometimes it gets to me when a band is being promoted through one person. Constantly.

Covering Covers

So as we all know, bands do overs of songs that are originally performed by other people, right? Right.
Some covers are really good, and others just...suck. Which ones do you like?

This Is Halloween
Panic At The Disco's cover, or Marilyn Manson's cover? Personally, I prefer Marilyn Manson's. He (or they) actually make it sound like halloween. There's something about Panic's version that just isn't right..Brendon makes it sound too pretty.

Suicide Is Painless - Originally by Johnny Mandel and Mike Altman.
Royal Tux's cover, or again, Marilyn Manson's cover? I would go with Marilyn's again (I'm a fan of their music, in case you haven't noticed) because it's so depressing, and it suits the song very well.

Beat It
Michael Jackson's original, or Fall Out Boy's cover? Hmm...FALL OUT BOY KTHX. FOB make Beat It sound so...electric I suppose is a word you could use. Don't get me wrong, Michael Jackson's original was pretty good but...c'mon..it's Fall Out Boy!

Zero - Originally by Smashing Pumpkins
Evanescence's cover, or Evergreen Terrace's cover? For me, definately Evanescence. Evanescence change the tempo, and it's sooooo cool. It's obvious that I would choose Evanescence though. The Smashing Pumpkins original was pretty good.

Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) - Originally by Kate Bush
Within Temptation's cover, or Placebo's cover? I would definately say Within Temptation's cover, because I think Sharon's voice suit's it so well! WT make it sound so...celtic. I love it.

These are just my opinions, mind you. What covers do you like?
